This all began from the music classroom of Margaret Jerz. She was trying to decorate her room with motivational posters, and not being able to find what she was looking for in the teacher supply catalogs, decided to create her own, on her home computer. Other teachers saw them on her walls, and started asking for them. She contacted Evan, a graphic designer, and incidentally, her son-in-law, and he developed them as original art, sent them to a 4-color printer, and they became what you see today, now offered nation-wide in teacher resource catalogs Music In Motion, Music K-8, West Music.

understanding that their homework must be done carefully and handed
in on time or they cannot attend DRRUM class that week.

Creating
the graphics for the Word Power was a way to explore art for art's
sake, a chance to marry musical imagery with a musical theme. Since
Evan doesn't play a musical instrument himself, but loves music,
designing musical graphics was as close as he could get to playing.
